The project “Sustainable Urban FUrniTURE: Tool design to perform environmental assessments and the green procurement framework” with the acronym FUTURE, is financed through Union program LIFE+.

The project aim is:

Develop a tool that will allow accurate and simple analysis of the environment and to facilitate application of regulations related to green public procurement.

The total project budget amounts to € 605,496.00.

Project implementation period: 1 October 2015 – 31 March 2018

The expected results of the project relate to creating positive impacts on the environment, creating a market for products that respect the environment, encouraging companies to develop new technologies that positively affect on environment, promotion of “green” economy, boost the competitiveness of various industries of the European Union through the promotion of innovation in eco-technologies, encourage the use of green standards in private and public procurement.

The role of City of Koprivnica in the project is to monitor changes in EU legislation related to green public procurement, test tool for the implementation of green public procurement that will be created by the project partners through the implementation of the actual procurement of equipment and promote the project results and the principles of green public procurement among other stakeholders in Croatia.
