The main objective of the event is to popularize fishing as a sport, the competition in preparing fish stew, introducing with the tourism potentials of the city and surrounding areas, promoting economic and rich cuisine – primarily river and lake fish, other food and local drinks. On Zrinski and other squares in the city center is a fair of traditional crafts related to water and cultural program.

Visitors can follow competition in cooking fish stew, buy new and second-hand fishing gear and try out fishing skills by fishing in the pool with fish. Visitors can taste the fish stew and dishes from the rich gastronomic offer, which includes a variety of ways to prepare fish (fish roasted on a fork), and it is possible independent fishing in the pool.
